The Town of Erie is located in Boulder and Weld counties about 25 minutes from Denver and 20 minutes from Boulder. It has a population of about 27,000 people and an elevation of 5,130 feet above sea level Erie was named by Richard Van Valkenburg, an early settler who previously lived in Erie, Pennsylvania.
What’s Going on in Erie? Erie typically hosts the Erie Town Fair and Balloon Festival every year. On Thursday evenings during the summer Erie hosts a Farmer’s Market.
